FAMIS 360 Maintenance App Installation
If you use single-sign-on (SSO) authentication with mobile, you need to take additional steps to migrate the SSO configuration for compatibility with both the old and new FAMIS 360 mobile applications. These SSO mobile app IDs are restricted from use in the new FAMIS 360 Maintenance application until this migration is complete.
Update the redirect URL used by mobile with your SSO configuration. Contact Accruent Support to schedule a time for migrating the SSO configuration, ideally after hours when login activity is lowest. During this time, Accruent Support guides you through test scenarios to verify that the SSO login works in both the old and new FAMIS 360 mobile applications.
Access
Simplify onboarding and migration by sharing a link containing your environment identifier. This eliminates the need for users to manually enter an environment ID when installing and launching the app.
Communicate the availability of the new app by adding your environment ID to the link: https://famis360.app.link/onboard?project_id=MY_ENVIRONMENT_ID. Replace MY_ENVIRONMENT_ID with your identifier before sending the link. If you don't know your environment ID, contact Accruent Support.
Email or text the link to your end users. When they access the message from their mobile device, they can install the app directly from the link and open it once installation is complete.
Update your department's website to use the new onboarding link with your environment ID for linking users to the app.
When users tap the onboarding link, they need to:
-
Select Get The App.
The link redirects them to the FAMIS 360 Maintenance app in the app store.
-
In the app store, select the install action.
-
Open the app.
-
Sign in with their existing user credentials (the same credentials used for FAMIS 360 desktop app and the old mobile app).
The new FAMIS 360 mobile version is a separate app in the app stores. It doesn't replace the old version, so the old version remains on the device while the new app installs. If you install the app directly from the app store instead of using a link, enter the environment ID as you did with the old version.
Web browsers
Run the FAMIS 360 Maintenance mobile app in any web browser for maximum flexibility. This is useful for accessing mobile features from a desktop computer or devices without a native client, such as a Microsoft Surface tablets. The key differences between the web client and the native mobile clients are:
-
The web version doesn't work offline.
-
The web version can be slower.

Mobile Device Management system deployment
Use your Mobile Device Management (MDM) system to deploy the new FAMIS 360 mobile app, streamlining user access and reducing support issues related to environment ID entry.
-
Set Environment ID:
-
Configure the environment ID directly in the app profile using your MDM system.
-
Set the key apptree_app_id to your production mobile app identifier. This automatically configures FAMIS 360 Maintenance for users.
-
-
Manage App Versions:
-
The new FAMIS 360 mobile app is a separate installation from the old version.
-
Instruct your MDM administrator to uninstall the old version and install the new one to prevent users from having both versions on their devices.
-
If your MDM supports app deletion, use it to avoid confusion. Otherwise, communicate manual deletion instructions to users.
-
-
User Access:
-
Once installed, users simply open the app and log in with their credentials. The app ID is preconfigured, so no additional setup is needed.

Choose the right FAMIS 360 Mobile app
Two FAMIS 360 mobile apps are currently available in public app stores due to new publishing requirements. The new app is published by Accruent LLC, while the old app remains under AppTree Software for a temporary transition period.
Which app to use
-
New version: Use FAMIS 360 Maintenance, published by Accruent LLC. It features the latest Accruent application logo with a white background and blue A.
-
Old version: FAMIS 360, published by AppTree Software, has a blue background and white A. We'll remove this from the store on March 1st, but existing users can continue using it until March 31, 2026.
Recommendations
-
Use new onboarding links for easier device setup, avoiding manual entry of environment IDs.
-
Both app versions are compatible, allowing side-by-side use during the transition.
-
Users can safely delete the old FAMIS 360 app with the blue background and white A logo.
Transition timeline
-
We'll remove the old app version from the store in the coming weeks.
-
Maintain both versions to give time to update MDMs and single sign-on (SSO) settings.
